Kyia, are you following a pattern? or just making one up as you go? Once your strips are sewn together like you have done you need to turn them sideways and cross-cut into whatever width your pattern or design calls for. Some may be 1", some 1 1/2, some 1 3/4, etc. Each strip should also be number from 1 to 21 or however many colors you have. Then you might be sewing #1,2 3,4 to #7,8 and then 15, 16, 17 depending on your design. Does this make sense? You can pm me if you like.

This has been on my to do list also and would love for to join in the "tute". I can not wait Barb... Better on board so I can print it out - since working all the time hard to actually join in when everyone else is. Can you use scraps for this?

Thank you Raksmum. I think I have a pattern drafter that will be pretty simple. I will start on it next week. Thank you for the help. I've been reading on the sites that everyone has been posting lately for the bargello quilts. I think I can figure it out. I am going to cut my strips and sew them into loops and go from there. Thank you for the help!

Ok, I'm back from my trips and will get all these messages read and see who will be following along with the process of building a bargello.
But first, here is a little secret....both these quilts are made from the same directions. Each are made out in four sections and how you then sew the sections together creates the different designs. So, one is not any harder to do than the other one.
Give me a couple more days and we can get started on this.

I love both of the Barb. Just saw this post just now. I would love to learn how to do the first one. The second one looks too hard for me!
Just let me know when it will start if you don't mind doing it!
