    just by machine
    no hand applique yet, but am thinking of trying it out
    I used a back basting techinique last year on a block and liked it.
    this is a pic of my current project

    I like to do both. Haven't done any in awhile. I especially love hand app b/c I love to do hand work :)

    I prefer hand applique. I just do the needle turn. The first thing is do is copy the layout of the piece with water soluble marker onto the background piece. I cut out my pieces, pin them onto fabric and sew them down.

    I hand applique but I love doing hand work it looks more vintage to me which is the look I like.

    I do needle turn applique, would have said that is the only way I do it but I did machine applique for my 2 SBS.
