That's okay. People who don't share their talent are usually insecure. Emeril and Paula Deen didn't get where they are by hiding their secrets for success.
The blanket stitch is the easiest for the first row. Then you can single crochet all around. I particularly like the shell stitch. You can look up picot stitch, which is also very pretty.

My daughter was trying to find this tool in Michael's the other day to show it to me, because I asked her how one gets the holes in fleece to crochet it. Maybe they have it at JoAnn's but I haven't seen it with the other blades. Anyone know where it can be bought?

I use single crochet for the first row and put 3 single crochet in each corner to make the edges round. Then depending on my mood I make different edges using different stitches.

The hardest part is using the awl to punch the holes!
I saw a new blade on Nancys Notions that cuts the holes for you..

Thank you, this is what I was looking for. Wish it came with the cutter too so I wouldn't have to change it out with my regular blade

I just purchased the blade from Nancy's Notions for $14.99. She also sends instructions etc. I looked at both Hancock Fabrics and JoAnn's and they don't carry it yet.

Here is a picture of one of my corners, after my first round of SC's. I'm going around again with another row of SC's but I can't figure out how to do the corners this time. The first time I just SC'd in each corner hole. What do I do now?

Just do 3 single crochets in the middle single crochet of your corner.

Since I did 3 singles the first time around, what would be the middle of 3?
