I was wondering if anyone has wooden spools that they want to get rid of. I collect them and have been looking for some. I just love them. Thanks so much ... Thought I would ask. Happy Holidays to all.

I keep getting them . . . Gave all I had to someone about a year ago, and have at least a dozen again! (I would NEVER throw in the trash -- they're collectors items!)
PM me you addy; I'll trade for 10" squares or a FQ!

I've been looking at shops for them. I have some old blue ball jars with zinc lids that I love to have out and thought they'd look cute with wooden spools inside. I put some old pkgs of trim in one and spools would be cuter. lol

I'm saving mine, (I have a big box full) for what I don't know yet. Just can't bear to part with them. What do you use them for?

DH turns them down on the lathe so they hold more thread. I don't let him do it to the real collectible ones though.

I have those blue jars also and some years ago, I filled one with wooden spools that still had thread and another with buttons. Then my husband drilled the lids and wired them and I have two lamps. Love them.

I wish I had wooden spools. I wanted to purchase some a while back to use for decorating in the studio....no way....too expensive. I collect fabric instead!

I started collecting mine years ago, when they were cheap. I quit frequenting flea markets . junk stores, garage sales etc. so I haven't seen any for quite a while now.
