    Join units together in strips, press seams of top and bottom strips out wards (B) and seams of center strip towards the middle (C). (Pic 9a,-c)

    How about alternating the variable star block with another block that we have learned to make. The 9 Patch. I quite like the effect of this one. The green triangles on the star block create a secondary Sisters choice pattern when placed next to the 9 Patch

    You can create all sorts of different looks with these stars just by varying the pieces you use in the corner and center units. Below are just a few ideas.

    A: Ohio Star with a set of half square triangles made for the center

    B:Ohio Star and 4 Patches, creates a checkerboard effect

    C: Ohio Star Variation

    D:Variable Star with plain background

    E: Variable Star with single square at corners

    F: Variable Star with four patches

    Well that's it for now, I think that's enough don't you :lol: I'ts a bit more than usual but I thought it would be a good idea to cover the quarter square triangles as well as they are made with such a similar method.

    Next month, a change of pace, English Paper Piecing and a much smaller file :lol: Untill then Hope you all have a great month :D
