I finished the linen quilts and got them delivered today. I used black to even the pieces and an unbleached muslin for the back and binding. I'm pleased with the look, but one has a few tension problems on the back. She was pleased, so that is what matters.

Your quilt sure is pretty! I've never quilted with linen. Is it more difficult to sew? Ever been to Australia? hehe! Haven't seen panels like that before.

I have never been to Australia, but would love to go. The panels were given to me by a lady at work. Her MIL was from Australia. They are hand painted souvenir wall hangings (one was a calendar) and are really pretty. They are not evenly cut or painted, so I had to sash them to even them up. She wanted a quilt for each of her sons for Christmas, and I just made it.

I did find that linen is hard on needles and thread. I did warn her it will really shrink and wrinkle if it is ever washed. She said they won't wash it, but they were warned.

You did a great job, they are beautiful!!! I didn't really notice the panels were not even until you pointed it out! The black background really makes the colors stand out.
