I just got an e-mail from AQS for a 40% discount on an internet quilting series by Missouri Star Quilting Co. called Quilting Quickly; consisting of 9 episodes for I believe it was $29. Has anybody ever done these and would it be worth the money? I love their little hints and tips, but don't know if this is just a gimmick. I don't want them to become like Fons & Porter (too famous for their britches).

Hold out on it a few days. I was there and started to sign up but got sidetracked. Got an email from them a few days later and got it for $19. I don't know if it is worth it or not but....what's another $19 when you are trying to learn. I've only watched the intro video so far.

I got the link through AQS (American Quilters Society). I checked out the samples and it looks like it is the shortcuts we get for free, and a bunch of hints for using precuts. I won't waste my $29. I can buy a pack of charm squares instead.

From what I could tell it looks like all of Missouri Quilt Company's free tutes. I think it might be buyer beware.

You probably can find everything you need to know on Youtube for free.
Or google or here. Really I can't see the need to spend money on some
basic videos. I'd rather spend my money on fabric. JMHO. :-D

My thought too. It kind of reminds me of how Fons & Porter got started. I won't buy anything with their name on it any more. I hope she isn't getting visions of grandeur.

I love the class. I am in the process of making a quilt from Jenny using her techniques and I for one can tell you. For the price of the class you get a lifetime of knowledge but one of the industries best quilters. Her explanations and light bulb moments ...are priceless. I am not only thrilled and blessed to have this course I cannot wait til her next session comes out. You also get to learn at your own pace and it never expires....just how many places can you do that? Jenny is also very interactive so if you have a question ask away she loves it...Ive been to many classes as our sewing store here in town and this by far....is EXCELLENT with the only time constraint being what you decide it is .....Take the class ..you wont be disappointed :)
