    I am sure I saw a stringquilt showing done with 3inch paper thought that I had saved it. can you point me to the one I am looking for tks

    Why do you need the paper for this type of piecing? I'm still new and some things are not clear.

    I'm not into using paper for foundation for string quilts, but that is me.

    I prefer to use a cheap muslin or ugly fabric on hand that I don't want to use for a quilt top or backing.

    I do love this idea tho, of a long strip for borders etc. I'll definitely use this technique but with fabric instead of paper.
