Christmas Tree Skirt Tutorial
#111
So beautiful. Thanks so much for the tutorial. I would like to make one with some gold lame' just here and there in the skirt and then make a gold lame' ruffle around the edge instead of binding.

Here is one I copied from the Moda website when it first came out and put in a notebook, now cannot find the notebook, went in search of it online. This is more of a table cover than tree skirt.

I don't know if anyone told you, but that ruler comes in a package with patterns for use printed right on it. When I made my first quilt with it, I used a 56" background fabric and glued the points down with Elmer's school glue, then hand blind stitched it down. Just be sure your Dresden plate lies flat because it will not 'quilt out'. (Mine started as a volcano and I stitched and stitched until it was flat. Now I have a permanent line on my machine to follow for accuracy.)
