Thanks for the reply - I was noticing quite a bit also but figured it was for the convenience of having something to work with and hold onto while slip stitiching the backing fabric over the raw quilt edges!

Thanks for answering my question about the seam allowance. That was what I figured, just didn't know how much of a seam allowance to use. Will have to try these. Thanks for the tute.

I don't think you add a binding. You sew the points onto the front panel only and later turn under the batting and backing a quarter inch and blind stitch. If others have another way to do it, I'd be interested too. Also, I saw some samples where they didn't use the PP facing outward but facing inward instead, then put on the binding. Interesting effect.

Oh man this is way to cool. I have done scrappy before but I never sewed them together first. That is really a great idea! Thanks for sharing this! I love the way it spaces them perfectly! :shock:
