Thanks for the info. Very nice to know and glad to to know it. Was worried about it. Fortunately I do have a covered patio. Matter of fact it is weather proof enuf that we have extra boxes on it and none of them have deteriorated. So I will keep my hard worked on projects away from patio edges!

I have a picnic basket with a lid on it that I want to try this process on. Also the weaving is starting to break, is it possible to decoupage this as well and if so is there any different I need to do? Would I have to do the inside as well? I have not done decoupage since my daughter was in brownies and we made candle holders from small glass bowls & that was about 30 some years ago. Any suggestions or thoughts as if this is doable .

What a good idea...I just threw out a few baskets...but I have a few more that this would work on.

Thanks for the tute!!! I saw these plate at a fall festival. The gentleman was selling them for $25.00 a piece!!! I just saw the clear plates at the Dollar store. May need to add this to next years Christmas gift list. I thought you could make them for the major holidays for a GREAT bridal shower gift. Just a thought....

I was having a hard time picturing what these plates might look like so did a Google search and found another site with some pictures and more detailed instructions. Thought you all would find it useful. I had never heard of this or seen the plates anywhere. These are definately on my to-do list for Christmas gifts!! Thanks for sharing the idea.
