I used this method after watching a Missouri Star Quilt Co. tutorial on Youtube. I made dozens of them. It is fast and easy!

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT YOU SEND... :) I love half square triangles and as far as I am concerned, there is never too many techniques out there for us to learn... :)

Quilt fan, If I am reading your post correctly, when you cut the bias strips the size of your needed square, you then cut you square from the bias strip that you just cut to give you straight grain edges? I hope I am making myself clear.

Wow! I have tried to make pinwheels before but they did not turn out very well. I bet I could do this with no problem!
Thanks!

I am sorry to not be clear. Cut the bias strip the size of the first square. Then cut squares from the strip. Sew two of them together and cut as directed previously. (As an example two 4 inch beginning squares will give 4 2 1/2 inch squares.)

Thanks for the chart. Very helpful! Figuring out sizes is always difficult for me; I'm printing out your chart and putting it on my bulletin board. Can't thank you enough!

Gottcha, I thought that was what you meant, that is how I read it to be. Thanks for clarifying it. and for the chart.
