New to quilting. If you were to buy fabric for this quilt, what yardage would you need? I figure about 1/2 yard for
binding and 3-1/2 for backing. Maybe 7 or 8 fat quarters?

We thank you for sharing, for our church quilting group will be making this pattern for our "Love Quilts" When some one is sick or in the hospital, the quilt is prayed over and given to that member.

Farmquilter, sorry for the slow response but I have been traveling out of the country. I think you could easily make the quilt without dashing but it will look quite different---it will be your creation!
