Thanks so much....I've been looking for these instructions...I saw Ricky Tims do it a while ago and couldn't remember where I saw it....it works and it's amazing.

I have been making flying geese all week...by the lessons from mama....what a pain in the neck they are. I searched the internet this morning and saw the one seam video with Ricky Tims. I am going to try that method it looks so much easier! I am finding that the lessons from Mama book has harder methods for all...my husband said just do it..and when you use the easier methods it will seem like a breeze....

Made a couple the other day, quick and easy if you chain sew.

Thank you! I've seen the video tute for this but my quilting is downstairs and my computer is upstairs. Kind of hard for an old lady to keep running up and down the stairs to make these. This is great!

warning...longarm quilters do NOT like these...foot gets caught unless stitched down... how can you have a 1/4" showing for searm allowance if both are 2" confushed...

Thanks so much! Love flying geese but found other methods too tedious. This is great especially for chain sewing.

learned to do this a lil while ago. loved it but I have not added em to the quilt yet. and the long arm quilters have a problem when these aren't sewn down? not a problem for me as my budget dictates that I do my own quilting. sigh

Will this work with any size, and how would you know what size for rectangle if you changed the size of your square?

This was a demo in our quilting guild but it was referred to as a 'loose goose' block.
