I used snaps on mine, but it was very difficult due to the faux leather. I guess you could use velcro.

what about those magnetic snaps they come in all sizes? just a thought they might cost too much unless you could find them where you they could be purchased in bulk? who knows just and idea

I make mine with velcro and they work like a charm. Great for travelling to put coins, jewellery in on the table or night stand. My watch always goes in mine.

I haven't tried these yet.......But what about a button and loop method.

My friends travel all the time, so thinking about a tray for each of them for their things.

I wish I still had the pictures of the basket I made using kitchen towels and with towels from the same set of towels, I machine embroidered kitchen designs a set of three towels. I rolled up the towels with the designs facing up and placed in them in basket. Made a cute hostess gift for a friend. She said later she used the basket as a bread basket on her Christmas table.
