Yes, that's exactly the one I was thinking about. Thanks so much. I remember using a pizza pan.

Sherryl, was the cardinal hex. wallhanging yours? It was so beaut. I just had to do one.
In searching for fabric for the outer border I found the companion dogwood fabric in my stash. Now what are the chances of that?
Here is a pix of mine.

I have a question about Octagon. My mom before she passed started an octagon table cloth. However since my table is square I've to square it somehow and turn it into a quilt for one of my kids.
Does any one have ideas about how to get it to a square shape?
I could sure use some help :?:

To make it square, I would add some triangles to each of the corners. Looking at the picture above, look at the bottom left corner and you can see how it kind of forms a visual triangle with the white background.

    Hope this helps......................

Much easier than the one I looked at on google images using a compass and ruler, etc. I like your method much better. Thanks for the posting.

Thank you for the octagon pattern BUT you have an outstanding sense of design and color combination, etc. Wish you could share that talent with me.

Hi Piecemaker, Great idea but aren't the templates used for the flower garden 6 sided? This is for an 8 sided template.

Thanks for the octagon instructions. Do you know how to draw a hexagon? If so, I'd like to see it. Thanks . Anngi.
