Maple Leaf Mug Rugs - Pictorial Tutorial & Pattern
#364
I'm really late to this, since your original post was 4 years ago, but I love these. I need some new mug rugs (coasters) and with your great tutorial, I can not only make maple leaf designs, but I can go outside and pick up some oak leaves and maybe some others that would make a great collection and also be wonderful Christmas gifts. Our fall is not nearly long enough in Maine, so to have a bit of fall in December is usually pretty welcome.

Thank you everybody! I made a whole bunch of them for our Autumn table.
And Laurie, that is really awesome that you started thinking about all the other neat things you can make. I never realized that Fall was a short season in Maine. We've always loved Maine.

Last year we had snow in October and it was all downhill from there. This year, we're still having temps in the 80s and humidity. Took summer so long to get started (didn't start until July and we didn't have any spring) that it doesn't want to let go. The trees are just starting to turn. We usually start seeing color here in the middle of the state by the end of August.
Love your display.
