I found this method in a German-language book:Blumen-Patchwork(Bernadett Mayr, Urania Verlag 2005 Stuttgart, Germany)Talk about the pictures!

I just purchased a book on how to make these, haven't opened it up yet (LOL), but it's on my to do list.
