I like to cut the tips off the gloves of my index and middle finger. Doesn't harm the quilting but makes it easier to thread a needle, etc without taking the gloves off.

Tanks for that. After seeing so many talk about the gloves, it occured to me that a pair of strange stretchy gloves with rubbery fingers and palms at the Dollar Tree store for gardening were pretty much the same thing- no hassle great price

This is great! I have been teaching my 8 year old great niece to quilt and now we can make her a pair of gloves to use in her size! Thanks for the link!
