You could do this with any pair of fabrics, make a mark 1/4" less than your cut width. Would be especially helpful when sewing honey buns or smaller.

I had heard that all 2 1/2" strips weren't 2 1/2"! I think Deb's idea is very ingenious. I will have to remember this and also bookmark this thread for future reference.

Maybe they didn't read all the way through your message. Thanks a lot for the tip, I hadn't even thought about the difference in sizes and it would make a big difference if your were combining strip sets in a project.
