do you sew the 1/2 around the same on all 4 pieces. that is where I am confused. thanks

Yes you should have 4 flaps i suppose :) If you have trouble let me know i'll try a video it would be my first time at tutorial :)

thank you thank you thank you...still trying to understand and am just not getting it. Sew halfway around...I get that...but then when you add third one...do you sew the opposite side? Really need pics...am a totally visual person!

Thanks Cappucine.....I think it's beginning to get clearer...but it would still be the murkiest of ideas if you hadn't posted the intermediate pictures. I think I'll give it a try....(but a video here or on youtube would be nice...) hint hint....

I made one of these this morning as an experiment, just to see if I had visualized it correctly... and it worked! The result is pretty, versatile, fun and not thick or weighty (in my opinion, anyway)

I'm going to try to write a full-fledged PDF tutorial in the next few days.
