It does take a long time but the rewards are grand. Go slow and be patient. I too was so overwelmed by mounds of fabrics. Everything was crazy and I thought "I never should have started this stupid project" Then my DH and I do a tute and over 30,000 people hit it. You do the math. You can do it a little bit at a time. Take pix as you go for us and inspiration for you too!
Have fun!

I am happy to say that I have ordered my coroplast. I can hardly wait to see my material treated with love and respect!!!
I hate to look for a particular material now (I know I have that but just where or which stack) but just wait.

Thank you again for sharing this wonderful project of love and respect.

A friend sent me the link to your tutorial. I just ordered some of the coroplast. I am excited to get going on organizing my fabric. I am in a studio apartment so my sewing area is in my living room. I am going to get some shelving.

Thank you for sharing your tutorial and your sewing room. I look forward to getting myself organized and my mom's sewing room organized. Will post pictures of the tranformations in progress.

So my husband told me I needed another bookcase or two. I still have tubs of fabric.

Alaskasunshine, thank you so much for posting the photos and information of how you organized your quilt stash. At first glance I thought you were in a shop lol.

I'm not sure at the moment if coroplast comes under a different name here in the UK, but I sure will be looking for some this week to get my fabric mess sorted out.

Thanks again
Damkina

I'm envious of you organized studio...I've been flat folding most of my stash around my 6 x 24 ruler so they'll all be the same size to fit on shelves and have been getting the cardboard "bolts" from a local fabric store (sorry, I don't know the technical term for them...lol) for the longer lengths. I must have missed something in these posts...what kind of board (cardboard? or foam board?) did you use? Thanks for sharing....it's my goal to really get organized this year.
