You are the best Tartan! What a great tip.

THanks for showing. I wouldn’t have thought of it.

Neat trick! Thanks Tartan. I have had that problem...not enough of my favorite fabric to make the binding. Would never have thought of this solution. I am so glad that you shared it with us.

Brilliant!!!!!

Yes, I have also used that trick both as a flange and as a 'facing' when I don't have enough preferred fabric and usually have to make a sample to get the orientation right. Your directions were beautifully clear, Tartan. Thank you!

Tartan, I was just trying to figure out how to "stretch" my fabric so I had enough for the binding. What a great tip and so timely for me! Thank you.

Excellent tip, thanks for sharing.

Tartan,
Thanks so much for posting! I used your tip to rescue my project. Our LQS had a fat quarter challenge and I mis-cut the binding width (cut 1.25" vs 2.25 inches). Sewed two strips together and squeezed out just enough binding to finish project! Success! |
Brilliant! Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that" things. So simple and yet it never occurred to me before now.
