Thanks sew much!

I've just made a small sample using this method and am very pleased with the result, all the more so as this is my first time making any sort of prairie points.

After a final pressing, I sewed 1/4 inches from the original seam to catch the new edges and thus keep my sample together. I think I also may trim away the initial seam allowance so as to reduce bulk.

Thank you so much for your tutorial! It's fun, easy and effective!

I know I am very dumb,so sorry ,now what do you do with these tutorials.Do you use them as an edge around a quil?

BATIKQLTR 06-28-2011 06:26 AM

Can't wait to try this. I love the look of the prairie points on a quilt, but trying to get them even was just too much fooling around. This way they are already spaced.

Thank you so much!!!!!

grammajojo 07-26-2011 12:47 PM

What a nice tute. I have never done prairie points ever and this is a great way to learn. I copied and pasted it into my word program and will print it off to keep with my other quilting techniques. Thanks for sharing.
