I'm impressed with your work.

Great tute Patti...I'm curious how you knew where to place the scallop template?? I would be worried that I start on one end, and by the time I get to the other side of the strip, that it's at 1/2 of the template or something...does that question make sense??

Oh boy, think I just answered my own question. Each scallop goes at the base of a triange. Duh...:) Thanks for this tute patti, I have bookmarked it for future reference...

Absolutely gorgeous. I will bookmark the tute too.

awesome tute.

i am totally terrified about doing scallops.

i haven't even tried to do mitered corners on my quilts.

guess i still have alot to learn.

i think i will see if i can find a tute on mitered cournes.

Hey Rach, be sure that if you do decide to change the depth of your borders (or anything else in your quilt) that you make the change in the software, then print your template as "size from quilt" or else it wouldn't work out nicely on top of each tri. Just a caution!

Also ya'll will find them easier than you think...Deb...much easier to me than mitered corners.

Patti,
Congratulations on finishing your Chocolate Jane- she is BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for this tute, and all of your tips and information along the way. I've been working on other projects that I need to finish before I get back to my Dear Jane- I took a break from it and now I kind of feel like "what the heck was I thinking taking this on- I'm not that good of a quilter!!" But I will.....eventually- you've provided great inspiration, thank you!

sandpat 03-02-2011 06:59 AM

Jates, thats the whole point of doing the Jane! You will grow so much as a quilter, I can't encourage you enough...after you complete her...not much scares you anymore!

how does one go about making a DJ... i've peeked around on the net.. it seems there are not "defined" directions... is that correct?.... i'm so fascinated with this idea, and love to "create" any ideas, or help would be appreciated...bj
