I add jokes, favorite sayings, and sometimes bible verses along with all the regular info you put on a quilt. peace |

This is really a very clever idea - I need to remember this.
Thank you so very much for making this tutorial. I'm going to start using it on my quilts.
Very interesting. Will consider it for a future quilt

Oh, I'm so going to try this. My sister is having her 3rd baby boy this summer. For the others, I've custom ordered satin edged blankies with their birth info and night-time prayer on the binding. For this one, my Janome 6600 should be able to do it. Now I just need to take the time to figure it out.
What a terrific tutorial. Thank you so much. Love the way you teach!
Perfect place for the "Machine wash/dry" label!!

And if your machine has a single pattern button set it at one (1) repeat. You don't want the information to continue repeating after it has finished sewing the info. That is the way my machine works. Others may work differently. peace |
Thanks for the cute idea and the tutorial on how to do it.
This is awesome Ube! I never thought of using it like this and love your tutorial!
Great idea! I just got a machine that will do this, and I can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the great tutorial.

"Every child is a story yet to be told". And another is: "Nothing is worth more than this day". peace |
Well isn't that just slick...thanks bunches.....
Well done!!!
that is so cool. I hope to use that idea soon. thanks!!
It would be a terrific way of labeling the quilt too.
Such an awesome idea! Thanks for posting...I really dislike doing labels!
What a neat idea! Thanks for the tutorial!
I love this idea. I know hate is a strong word, but I really do hate making a big, story label! Now I can do a small "created with love" label, and put the story around the edge! Nice way to think "outside the box", literally! Thank you!
how fun can that be. I can do that on one of my machines and I hope I remember to do this. You could put who it was made by or the year. I think it would be special for the kids to put their names or something funny on it.
This is great! I did this on a my daughter and SIL's wedding signature quilt. It turned out wonderfully well, and now the date of their wedding will always be on their quilt. Thanks for the tut!
Great idea!
Did you put the interfacing on the entire binding or just the area to be labeled??? |

Did you put the interfacing on the entire binding or just the area to be labeled??? I will put something on each of the four edges of the quilt so no matter which way you hold it there is a little saying or joke or quotation. I also add the name of the quilt, the pattern, date, who it is made for and my name. Hope you get a chance to try this and post your project for everyone to enjoy. peace |
Thanks for the tutorial! What a cool idea and I'm going to practice doing it. Do you have the writing showing on the right side of the quilt?
The writing will be on the back of the quilt binding but if you wanted to there is no reason why it couldn't be done so it is on the front. Just reposition where you put the printing.
