Open the inserts and center the point seam over the construction seams, pin and iron. I pressed my seams open which worked well[ATTACH=CONFIG]554844[/ATTACH]

When my plate was all done, I trimmed 1/8 inch off my blade bottoms so the inserts covered the raw edges well. I will applique my Dresden Dahlia to a background square and stitching down the inserts points to cover the raw edges well in the center.
