I don't have an actual pattern, but I took picture as I went along. I am brand new at this so I hope it works.

Cut your squares 11x11

Cut your squares 11x11 - the number of squares depends on how large you want to make yor quilt

Top flap are 11 x 5 1/2 cut at an angle toward the center

Lay the flap and the lace on top of square

Sew the flap and lace to the square at the same time

Cut 1 1/2 strips of material

Pin the 1 1/2 strip of material right sides together to the bottom of the first square

Press open the strip the lay the bottom of the first square on the top of the second square right sides together and sew

Continue until desired length

I am making a large lap quilt so I made mine 5 squares in length and 6 squares in width

If you want to stagger the envelopes add 11 x 5 1/2 piece material to top of first square then bottom of second etc.Any embroidery should be done before you add to the rows. Cut 1 1/2 strips of material the length of the rows. Connect them in the same manner as the squares

Press open the strip lay rows right sides together and sew the length of the row. Continue adding rows untill desired width

To frame the quilt cut strips of 4 1/2 material sew to top and bottom and then to the sides or visa vera

Top piece sewn on

Here is the final picture.

This one just covers a double twin sized bed.

I added embellishment after it was put together like the bows on the flaps and the lace roses

Your quilt is gorgeous, colors are my absolute favorite! I just love it!! I love the idea of adding machine embroidery. I am fascinated by Envelope quilts for some reason. Think this will definitely be added to my list.... ever growing as it is!

Thanks, Kind of reminds me of something my grandmother would have made. Although it's for my daughter, I thought of my grandmother while I made it. The different materials reminds me of the prints she used to make her dresses out of.

This pattern might work well using handkerchieves for the flaps.
