Irma, I am certain this will be done before hand. Thank you for your concern :).

littlelambseativy 08-28-2010 12:07 PM

I. Love. It! I love working with scraps, because it reminds me of what Christ has done with my life "scraps" when I gave, and continue to give them to Him! In my humble opion, the most beautiful quilts are made of scraps.

monetgardening 08-28-2010 12:54 PM

Isn't that the truth!!:)

Is stitch witchery the same as fusible webing anyone? Thank you in advance.

hperttula123 09-20-2010 06:27 PM

OMG.....that is awesome. I'm thinking I'm turning my garbage bag into a to-do bag.

irma tapia 09-20-2010 07:10 PM

I did and I started fuseing today. I'm doing a black & white with some red in it, so far it's looking good.

Zappycat 10-10-2010 11:48 AM

Wow... what an unbelievably cool idea!! Waste not, want not!! I would love to see projects that people made with their garbage can fabric!

Cottontop 10-20-2010 04:25 PM

Hey, it pays to go backwards through the "tuts". I have been wanting to try this, and boy do I have "garbage bags" full....Thank you so much.

Jan in VA is collecting quilts to send over to Afghanistan, if you want to send some contact her, shes on the board. She will take completed quilts or quilt tops and she will have them quilted and backed. I am making another one for her now. Love those guys over there.

There is another lady collecting squares for quilts she gives to returning soldiers that are being given houses, she is in Texas. I do not remember the name but with a little reseaqrch you could find it.

beachbum3263 03-30-2011 08:33 PM

I've tried repeatedly to download this PDF without success. I'm just dying to know what you did with this trash fabric pieces. As I write this, my trash can is full. Can you post this in another way?
Carolyn

That is really neat....guess another reason to never throw away those scraps..

Rascalonious 05-01-2011 07:40 AM

Hi everyone. You have really got my curiousity - I can't stand to throw out even the smallest piece of fabric. I am embarrassed to say I have an old computer & am still on s-l-o-w dial-up so I can't get the PDF. Could anyone post even just a small photo of what you're talking about? It would be so appreciated!

This is a word doc....I hope you can open it. The whole thing is too long to just post as pics.

Rascalonious 05-01-2011 08:34 AM

Thanks Kellen for trying. The PDF is 4MB; Word doc tried to open with my WordPad (can you believe how outdated THAT is?!) & it said it is 9MB. I guess I can log in & find this post from someone else's 'puter. Thanks again!!!

One of the reasons I make files into the PDF format is it makes a smaller file. If you really can't find a way PM me for my mailing address, send me a sase and I will print off the pattern for you.

Rascalonious 05-02-2011 02:47 PM

Kellen: I stayed late after work to view the PDF. You are certainly creative (and ambitious!) Your finished pieces look awesome!!! Thanks for sharing!

glad you liked it, now you have to try it. The finished pieces make great fabric boxes.

Pickles 05-02-2011 10:07 PM

AngieS 05-03-2011 09:46 AM

quiltinghere 08-16-2011 08:19 AM

This is a neat idea for all those bags of 'scraps too small to use but we paid sooooo much for'.

I will start a new collection

allbright 08-20-2011 11:44 AM
