This was a fun distraction this morning. I happen to love mug rugs, so thought I would go small. I pretty much failed, but I still like it
Had to take these with my phone, so quality is so so Anyway, next I decided I would try the "big girl" one, but really only wanted to do 7-inch circles because for some reason I have a lot of scrap that size. On both, I sewed down the scalloped borders. So I made this trivet size one for a girlfriend of mine. Apparently I am not the best at following directions. The center looked bad, so I gave it a new center. Thanks a bunch for sharing this with us! |
:thumbup:I think they turned out great! I really like the colours you used and how you arranged your petals.

This is really beautiful. Makes a difference with the extra leaves and your stitching on them. Thanks for sharing

This is a really great tute and thanks Tartan for showing us how to do this. Like everyone else's creations, too. Hope I can get one of these made by December.

Thanks so much for the tutorial. They are so much fun to make. Love the idea of using different colors, Red/Green for Christmas, white/blue for snowflakes, oh my goodness, I could go on with more ideas. Have made red/green and white/green, now as my mind goes on, I need to get to my sewing room while the brain is hot...so many ideas that need to be acted on. Happy sewing/quilting today!!
