Hi! I could never find the small tips so I switched to glue sticks and haven't regretted it not one time. I've found all sorts of "sewing uses" for the glue sticks like, hemming t-shirts; the fabric is hard to get it stay put even pinning it but the glue and a iron works every time. Have found there are times when I couldn't find white glue sticks and finally tried the purple disappearing glue and it worked fine. When it dried, there was no sign of the purple! Chris

Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for sharing. I just finished watching a Sharon Schamber video on youtube about this and have ordered a couple of microtip bottles from a quilling supply store. As a cute aside...my youngest daughter, now 21, is named Emma. When she was a toddler if anyone asked her name, she'd look down, smile demurely and say..."Amma"....she was nearly six before she referred to herself correctly. When I saw your name I had to smile. Thanks again.

I just learned how to use a "quilt boot ruler". Made by Kathie weirzbicki ( sic?) Really neat method, but most of all, I LOVE the finished edges. I know there is a YouTube video showing how she does it, I'll try to find it and post it for you all.

Thanks, I am going to try gluing, I am really tired of getting stuck by pins all the time.

Wonderful job on the tutorial, I had seen it demoed but hadn't tried it, it may be time...

awesome tutorial - and great thinking! thank you so much :)

So do you iron the wet glue with the dry iron to set the glue?
|
Yes you want the glue dry so you need to set it with the iron. Also if you don't set it, the fabric doesn't really seem to stay stuck together.
