Thank you for asking this question, I think that i am going to order the (download) the plans to build my own Machine quilting frame. It is only $22.95 and I can make it as I have the time. Further to that, I can make it to the size that I want!

Go to utube. Do search for" Ken's Machine quilt frame project"

It is a very good tutorial and direction

I have a Tin Lizzie with wooden frame and the first thing my husband said when he saw the frame was "I could have built that for you!" I don't know where to find a pattern for a frame but I'm sure it could be done.

I ordered this pattern from Richard's Machine Quilting Frame Plans. www.builaquiltingframe.com. My husband built it for me. The pattern is awesome. Lots of pictures and great directions. I have the frame for several years now and just love it. I have made a few alterations, but it is great.

My father made mine from a pattern I bought on ebay. I just bought a Tinlizzie so I am now selling the other one. It worked great for four years. I use a Janome 1600 with it.

I ordered plans from http://buildaquiltingframe.weebly.com/ (same as above post, but copied and pasted the link from the site). The plans are wonderful! I haven't got my frame built yet because I'm still trying to make space for it. It's a download and around $20.

I looked at this one last night. Looks intesting.

Glad you started this thread. I've bookmarked all the sites for future reference.

Do a search for handiquilter. They made a frame that you can put your machine one. There are a number of people that made their own frame. I recently bought a handi quilter and a babylock at an auction and love it.
