thanks - your blog is a great resource.
Thank you.
Great idea
Thanks!
I also read a tut on this and they recommended ironing the layered quilt. I have done this and think it helps smooth out any wrinkles you might have gotten in the layering.
Like all your tutorials. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tute! I had issues when laying everything on the floor and preventing wrinkles and creases. I didn't know about basting spray. I assume that washes out?
With lifting the layers up in small sections then spraying, does that cut down on overspray? The fear of overspray on everything stops me from using spray. I got that mess all over a microwave from overspray and couldn't get it off. Do you have glue on the whole layer or just around the edges?

I hae used several different spray bast types and I find 505 is the best. You only need to spray lightly, I never had any issues with it smelling as I have with others. My floor is not sticky once done as that has been a problem when I used the June Taylor. I don't put done newspapers and its fine. You only need a small amount...do not use the whole can on a quilt. I just did three quilt with mine one can.

I love your blog--What did you use for your ottoman and queensize tumbler blocks? Those are not the same shape as the accucut go die.

Thank you and have a great Memorial Day!
I used the mini tumbler and the 6 1/2 inch for my queen quilt. Its a die from the Accuquilt for the Go,

Ok, I'm dense, went to your blog but couldn't find the tute! Help.:)
Wonderful blog. It's great. Thanks.
Hi dakotamaid, I couldn't find it either. Glad I'm not the only one. Could someone help us locate the tute?
Oh, good. I didn't want to appear dense so I wasn't going to ask. Thanks for asking.
Am I goimg blind?
I have looked several times but can't find anything about basting a quilt
I can't find the instructions on your blog. Where should I look?
Great Blog! Thanks for sharing these ideas & tips.
Sorry...I have deleted the post. I updated my blog and removed that one. I have rec'd many emails so I will do another blog on it again in the future. I just finished a quilt today and can not believe I totally forgot to take pictures and redo the instructions. I have been busy getting ready for Christmas. I will be making more of the ornaments. Salt ornaments. I am thinking of using my cats paw prints and giving the ornament to my husband.
Ok, thanks for letting us know that we aren't going crazy. I didn't check to see when you had first posted this message.
I just finished an appliqued quilt. How I wish I'd seen this first. Spray adhesive = Great idea.
Thanks for the post and sharing
The 606 applique spray adhesive worked really well! I was a bit nervous washing it will the raw edges so I also did use the frey check...both worked great! the appliques were nice and soft unlike using fusible. I would recommend the 606 spray.
Thank you for sharing, great post.
I am now making my second quilt using the 606 applique spray. What a difference if you spray is as you cut your cirles or other shapes. My last quilt I had cut them a few months prior to spraying them so there were a few slight freys here and there so I used frey check also...I don't think I am going to need it on this one...so far it looks perfect. I love the 606 spray...it does not make my shapes all hard. No issues sewing the applique.
