There is another method shown in Quiltmaker nov/dec 2010 issue that doesn't result in any waste. Although your method would give you the option of making another set of block with the "waste", and it's always fun to get 2 blocks from one process. Thanks for the tutorial.

Thanks for the tute I love how a simple block can be changed with a few cuts Last summer on the board there was a 9 patch sew along and it was amazing the ideas that others came up with.These look so nice and what a way to do a block. We have a newbie quilt group here that did the 4 to 9 patch would you mind if I shared your arrowhead block with them?
