I have had several inquiries on how I explained making the potholder so I decided to try setting up a tutorial. I hope this works. If you have any further questions, just ask. Sometimes when I explain something, I'm not as clear as I should be. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the tute.
thank you, I'll try this next time I want to make something different instead of the same old potholders I ususally make.
Thanks!
Thank-you.
Thank you :D:D:D that is a cute potholder!
That's neat!! Thanks!
Thanks for the tute! I printed it off
Thank you! I am going to give it a try as well. wonder if this could be crreated to make place mats as well?
Thanks for the tute.
That looks so easy, cant wait to try. I'm thinking Christmas fabrics. Wouldnt that be cute. Thanks for the great idea.
I think it could easily be used for placemats.
Thank you . That was very helpful.
Thanks - is this a potholder that you put you hand into the middle to pick up the hot dish? Or just one you fold in your hand?
Thanks for the tute. I've made round glass holders, but hadn't thought to use them with Insul-brite for pot holders. Great idea.
Thanks for the tutorial. I love it
I'm missing something - You have four pieces of material 8.5" square plus insulbrite - what size is the backing fabric?
the same size as the 4 other squares. In this case I used 8.5". Your 6 squares (including Insulbrite) will all be the same size.
That's really neat.
Who ever thought of this really thought outside the box. |
THANK you so much for that tute.,,, I had seen coasters like that , now I am going to make lots of potholders!!!!!!!

Just fold it in your hand. Or at least that's what I do. If you were to put your hand inside, you'd want to turn the Insulbrite over. I hold the backside of the potholder so like the insulbrite against the hot dish. |
That is really clever, Thanks for the tut.
Thanks. Your tute was great!
Thank you for doing this, and God bless. Penny
Thanks! Great gift idea!
Thank you...Thank you!
This is great and easy! Dona |
THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for sharing and taking the time to take pictures. I have made a lot of coasters using this method. I cut five 4" or 5" squares of fabric and a 4" or 5" square of thin batting or the product you used for the coasters. A set of 4 coasters tied with a ribbon make nice, easy gifts.
Great tutorial, thank you!
You did a good job on your tutorial. Thanks.

I make casserole carriers so I made a set of potholders to match it. This was the fast potholder I ever made and it is nice and thick too. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for the tute, I can't wait to make a few of these pot holders! We are celebrating DDIL's birthday Sun. and she has hinted that she needs new pot holders. Shhhhh don't tell her what she is getting!
Great Tute, I made 4 coasters using this method last light and they are so easy! Took me all of an hour and that includes the cutting. I also added an applique in the centre to cover up the little hole and to hold all the layers together. They came out great.
Thanks stichinluvr |

I have never seen this pattern before, thanks for sharing.
I will definitely make some for Christmas presents this year. |

thank you for the tutorial
These were easy peasy to make! Especially with a serger.
Make the blocks 3 1/2 or 4" and you have perfect little coasters or cozies for wine glasses! |
Thanks stichinluvr! I just made one using 8" flannel squares I already had cut. It took me less than ten minutes and it came out great! I will be making these and glass coozies for Christmas gifts!!
Thanks again <3, Denise |
Thank you, I have made the coasters but never thought about the pot holders which I need. Quess what I'll be doing later today!
