oh my! and any other shapes too??!! going to try it..

You can do any shape, follow the usual techniques of snipping the seam allowance on into tight inner curves as you would in usual methods of applique to ensure a smooth edge. You may need to use a stiletto to protect your fingers from the iron on smaller pieces too. The key is having a hard surface to iron on, to get a nice clean sharp edge ;D

Of course you can, glad to share easier methods with all quilters Deb, let me know what they think! :D

Thanks!
It looks like I won't be needed a demo this month... someone else volunteered which makes me happy. I'm usually the one that does it every month so it will give me a break :D
I'm hoping to do it at the December or January meeting. I'll definitely let you know what they think about it :)

Fair enough Deb :)

I just sat here and checked out your tute. Loved it. i do it this way too but loved the way you illustrated so it would be smoother around the edges....I hand stitch but agree the machine is the way to do for much used projects.

Thank you

Just found your tutorial Izy! You do an excellent job of showing the steps. I've always basted the edges but never tried using freezer paper. I might have to try this. It looks a bit easier. I don't much care for needle turn tho I can do it but this is much faster too than needle turn.
