I'd like to mention one small trick: punching a hole in the middle of the paper is best done before the fabric is stitched around the paper. :)

HTH are you just whip stitching the corners? And how are you joining the hexes together after doing that? Are you using a ladder stitch or something similar? And is this all done by hand? Thanks, just trying to understand as I really want to do one of these. Sorry for all the questions. |
Do you hand stitch each of the hexagons together or hand stitch? I don't see any stitching.

Lately, I have been very interested in starting a GFG project. This tute is a great way showing how to cut the fabric. And I see how it can be used to cut the paper hexes. But how do you calculate the size of the paper hex?

This is a great technique for making hexagons. I don't remove the basting stitches which does make the work move along faster. Am going to try your method.

Wow you really simplified this. In the past I would never have considered doing this pattern, but this makes it much easier to do.
