Oh, you need a laugh?? You gotta know me to really appreciate this!

Driving DD's Honda taking DGS to his friend's house. Stop up driveway where the other 2 boys are playing. Grandma and Grampa cluster around car with boys. GS knocking on trunk for me to to pull the release latch.....Uh-huh.

Suddenly I'm flat on my back looking up at the roof! Why do they put the seat back release lever right beside the trunk one?

Gandpa's yelling "She alright, Betty? Can you see her in there?" Two boys are in hysterics. My GS? Holding his head and shaking it side to side. When does hysteria turn to embarrassment?

And Yes, this really did happen today and No, its not an April's fool!

I can't wait to tell my DH & brothers this one. They think I'm the only "blonde" that does this stuff. My brothers tell me to keep these things in the "family" Every time I think about you I will be laughing. Thank you for sharing. soo funny!!

Men do things too. My DH honked at an old lady at the traffic light so she went. But he was the one in the wrong lane and he made her go through the red turn light. Life is so much fun!!

beachbum3263 04-04-2011 12:40 PM

I was trying to figure out what this had to do with quilting at the first pic. I have been doing the same thing with my salad mix boxes. I don't eat lasagne but eat a lot of salad mix. We quilters are so inventive.

They are good! I use the clear salad "boxes" to store stash bits in. So nice to see the contents.

quilter64779 04-05-2011 07:49 AM

I buy cheese slices in variety and they come in a black tray about 4 or 5 " by 7" and I used cement glue and put 2 together and a piece of felt glued on it and use it beside mychair for my hand work. Holds scissors, thimble, thread and needle. works great

Love practical ideas for "throw-aways". I will have to sneak some out of my husband's stock pile. He makes chili hot dogs and uses the containers to put them in the freezer.
