I have a collection too but don't use them for quilting! They used to be used for my boys when they went to scout camp. I never had to worry about whether I was going to get my dishes back! Thanks Kitsie for sharing your "secrets"! :)
Definitely a family affair! Good thinking and very green. :-)
Who said quilting wasn't green? Wonderful way to reuse.
great, love it
Love love love Step 3!!!!!

It appears that you eat a lot of microwave frozen thingys. I just go to the dollar store and buy the 62 pack (for $1) of ziploc sandwich baggies. I keep the pieces for one block in one baggie. I get the big gallonsize (less for $1, but don't need as many) ziploc storage baggies and put the small baggies in the big baggie. I can throw the big baggies in a drawer until I get around to working on it again.
Great tutorial. I also use the plastic containers that have the Oscar Meyer deli meat (ham, turkey and roast beef) from Sams Club. They are a nice size and clear. Trouble is, hubby steals them for organizing stuff in the garage.

Great idea thanks! TreeFrog Cat, I use ziplocks, too but these are much easier to grab the pieces without having to open and close the bag! |
