i did use double sided carpet tape to keep the cushion inside the silicone cup.

never be afraid to ask! That is how you learn! Trust me there are others who are dying for someone to ask what you are thinking too! Go for it be bold! Or if you want send me a email and I will do my best to answer it! Happy Stitching!

Thanks Pamdux and Emma for your comments back too me and you are right I have gotten some good advice and help from some quilters on here already. You can never have too many friends. I have several across the US and Canada, Australia and other places overseas that I met by becoming a Red Hatter in 2003. Some days I can get hubby to go to the post office and there might be a package or 1-5 cards for me there. Some that send cards I have never met but it is a big circle of Friends just like right here. Thanks too all the support that anyone is willing too give me. Love all the threads but I keep re-reading from the beginning how to do the cupcake. Now the only Michaels close by is 100 miles away. Recon deals, dollar tree or somewhere like that would have the little cups for the pin cushion to go in?

Poodles,
I am also new I know how you feel but if we don't ask we will never know , every question I have asked on this site someone has been kind enough to answer . (and in a nice way) so go for it girl!

Poodles,
I also live in a remote area not alot of main stores , I use laundry detergent caps and cover with material glue material to inside rim and put a couple washers in the bottom for weight and i get to use up alot of scraps and easy on the wallet hope this helps, :D  i put the material around cap and put a rubber band around it till i get the rim glued.

That is a good idea! My DH says I am trying too recycle too much stuff and he tries too sneak some stuff out of the house too the garbage. Sometimes he makes it and sometimes I catch him and make him turn around and put it back where he found it. Thanks for the idea
