Awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Very cute! Good job on your first tut!!
Thanks! Another item added on my to do list!!
You can make a dozen pretty easily once you gather the materials. I think this is a great project for a sleepover, birthday party, bored kids, scouts, etc. The materials are not expensive & you get to use some of the great stuff in your stash.
I love these...thanks for sharing....
These are so cute!!! Depending on the price of the silicone cups I just might make these for the retreat ladies in September. At the July retreat I made bags from one fat quarter each and put a silicone iron mat in each one. The iron mats were only 25 cents on a clearance at Hancocks.

great tutorial,and too cute, molly
Must do this!!!!!! So cute, thanks so much!
Those are adorable...thanks for sharing!
I got the styrofoam & the cupcake pans at Michaels with a coupon so these cost less than $2 each to make. I have seen sturdy foil & cardboard cupcake pans at the cake decorating store. Enjoy!
CUTE IDEA!! Cupcakes are the rage right now!! My Granddaughters will have a ball making these!!
Thank you for sharing! |
Oh dotty...how cute these are! Thanks for showing us, now i have to get a box of cake mix~~~made me have a hankering for cupcakes! LOL
Now I have to post a real recipe for lowfat spice cupcakes, or did I do that already?!
If I'm doing them for everyone I like to keep the cost under a dollar but maybe I could make a few and have drawings throughout the retreat. Yeah, that would work. These are adorable. I think Hancocks even has some "cherry" buttons that I could put on top or get some pins with colored heads and stick them in for "sprinkles". I also might add some beany baby beans in the bottom of the cup for stabilizing weight. I'm excited, I can't wait until Monday when I go shopping.
Love the tutorial!!! Thanks!!!

Are the pincushions your own idea, or did you "borrow" it from someone else? I just love them!! I'll have to make some for my quilting friend! 8-) |
There are a lot of cupcake pincushions out there. I made up my own version, inspired by those Wilton cupcake liners. I wanted a simple solution. You can add your own touch, trims, buttons, whatever.
Love it! I'm gonna make some tomorrow! THANKS!
These are so cute!
Great tute. I'm trying that "cupcake". Thanks.
Those are just too cute. I made some similar ones on the cheap. I bought empty (a dime) volative candle holders & mini flower pots at the thrift store.
I want to do the mini flower pots with bold floral fabric & those cute Dritz butterfly pins!
That is a wonderful idea. Not sure I can do it. But I would like too try when I get things in order around here and get over my therapy. I enjoy reading all the threads on this board but I have too admit, some things I never have heard of that you all talk about getting and some instructions I don't understand and I am ashamed too ask anyone for fear of someone thinking I must really be dumb or something. I love the cup cake idea. Thanks for sharing it.
So cute. Looks good enough to eat right now with a good ole cup of coffee.
So very cute....did you join the pin cushion swap?
The pin cushion swap is what got me started ! Who knew?!

Poodles, I am comparitively new to the board but have never seen anybody anything but helpful. Everyone learns when we ask questions. Please let us benefit by yours.
Love it I've gotta try them. Great gifts for sewers
adorable - must put those in my Christmas list - thanks - Karin
Absolutely Adorable!
Thanks, dotcomdtcm!!
Very cute cupcakes! What kind of glue did you use that will stick to the silicon? |
Dotty, that is adoreable. Gonna check out those silicone things.
I used Tacky Glue. Seems to be ok.
Thanks.
How darling. That is so sweet.
Poodles everyone here is just awesome so if you have a question or a comment join in. It is fun to have friends all over the world.

This reminded me of what my Grandmother used to do. She would use an old sherbert dish and fill it like you did the muffin cup. She kept one in the room with her sewing and one on her dresser with hat pins in it. Very cute and thanks for the memories.
