Bellaboo, on the original tute you lay the two identical square right sides together, then stitched 1/4" completely around the two...then you lift up the top layer very carefully, and snip into the centre of the X and cut along the X just up to the stitch line this creates the next layer...

Patrice made it easier, by simply cutting the cross Before realigning all the pieces back into a square on top and stitching around the edge :D

Does that make any more sense??? :D

Thanks, yes that way was what I was thinking but I kept thinking maybe there is a magic way I don't know about. :D

Great technique. Also love the pic of the kitty. She needs a tiny little quilt to sleep under.

LOL.. at the rate of being a buttinski, I think I understand what she's asking and if I'm not completely off base, the answer would be that bookmarked pages are a function of your computer and therefore the Mod cannot "see" them, so that statistic is not available to them.

This technique is amazing...this coming from a dedicate hand stitcher...when I get the urge to do a machine quilt, I think this is the one I'll do... Great job of teaching!!

I love this look but what does the whole pattern look like? I did a search and can't find a picture of the whole project.
