 Use one block as the template for the next! Never thought of that. Time to head for the sewing room and have some fun! Thanks, Patrice.
Yes this is it . The only thing different is she would cut the "x" after sewing all around the fabric.
Wow -- Thanks! You made it look sew easy
thank you patrice much easyier to understand ,i printed it this time just in case lol
Boy that looks easy!!! Thanks Patrice.
Ohhh I am going to have to try this block. :)
GAD ZOOKS PATRICE,
I THINK MY BRAIN INJURY ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT YOU ARE SHOWING US! I"M AMAZED... |
Patrice is there a way
for you to see who has the most "bookmarked" entries. I have sssssooooooooo many... |
i must confess ... your question confuses me. i must reply thusly:
huh? :? |
Using the completed block to cut next block is a genius idea!! This would make it very easy to customize the size to what you wanted it to be.
I'm kinda confused. How would you cut the x after sewing all around? I mean do you draw a line and use scissors and cut just the one layer very straight on the lines :?:
Awesome Thanks for the replacement....I had this one bookmarked....
I guess I need the answer to how to do this:
The only thing different is she would cut the "x" after sewing all around the fabric. |

Thanks, yes that way was what I was thinking but I kept thinking maybe there is a magic way I don't know about. :D
Great technique. Also love the pic of the kitty. She needs a tiny little quilt to sleep under.
then the dogs would each want one. where would it end?
Too funny.

I thank for instruction. She is very readable.
Thank you so mutch!
I like this!
I love this look but what does the whole pattern look like? I did a search and can't find a picture of the whole project.
Could you send a photo of the finished quilt??? Thanks
i never did a pattern for a whole quilt. the look would depend on how many times you went around the center; whether you made the quilt entirely from that block; etc.
watch this space, though. when i receive my most recent order of fabs, i'll be adding to similar blocks already started. i don't see why i couldn't use them to continue the tutorial through to a whole top. |
Can't wait!

I just tried your method for making Square in a Square blocks and LOVE it! It's so fast and easy. And you can sit and chain sew a whole bunch at a time and press them when you are done. Thank you so much!
I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing. I'll be keeping a watch out for future lessons. Do you teach at a local LQS?
