Members in my guild each made signed heat blocks and we set them in a DNP pattern. We presented the quilt to the outgoing quilt president. She loved it. I use the DNP pattern a lot. Thanks for this interesting variation. It's great! I can't wait to show off at guild! Thanks so much.

HST are all in the practicing. A few years ago I made a GD's graduation with nothing by HSTs. Can't remember the pattern, but it was in a magazine -- [perhaps a McCall quilting magazine]. It was a queen size. I got to be pretty good after a while. One of these glorious days, I'll run across the magazine -- I'm pretty sure I didn't get rid of it, since I rarely do that. I like Izy's method. Works fine for me.

OMG  As I sat here this afternoon re-reading some of the posts from last night, I could not believe the errors in my post! I apologize. Some of you are probably thinking "And she was a teacher??!!!" Sorry. It should have read: "I made a GD's graduation QUILT with nothing BUT HSTs." But I'm sure most of you had gotten the picture already. You probably read right through it.

Oh, and Bellaboo, that heart quilt is soooooo cool. My wheels are already turning thinking of things that could be placed in the corner blocks.

Look what I made yesterday! I'm behind ya'll, since I have only just heard of the D9P, soooo, I had to try it first before I could play with the twist. Here is my first attempt. I was going to add two more sections and make a table runner. But today I had some 10 year old girls for a sewing class and they think it should be made into a purse. (They are making a purse for their first project). Thanks for the tute izzy. Now I'm on a roll.

Hope I attached the photo correctly
