    thanks saravincent, i have referred many times to your instructions. thought it would be nice to have something on the tutorial thread also. yours is still the best, and i love seeing your work.

    My favorite medium to use is knit crocheine. It comes in lots of nice colors and pretty sturdy to use and wears well.

    hi jojo, i actually use light wt crochet thread. i have tried floss but personally did not care for it. one ply wasn't enough and more just get tangled for me. the illustration actually shows a type of pearl cotton. it is a little heavier than the crochet thread but the color shows great. i would just encourage you to experiment and decide what you like to work with and the look you want to achieve. no quilt police here. :wink:
