I am experimenting with the size of the quilt blocks pics so I am going to try posting the quilt block as a 450 pixels size and the Layout of each one as a 600 size. The board will automatically resize my larger pic to the 600 size so under each of these you will see (download). You can click on this link and it will take you to the larger pic. This is in response to a request for an easier to see pic size. I want the quilt blocks to show up whole on your screen so you don't have to scroll to see the whole thing. But to make the layout larger I chose to use the 600 size. If this is annoying or is a problem I can post the layouts the same size as the quilt blocks or 450 size.

any comments are welcome if you have a preference.

Remember to pay attention to the values of the colors used and put mediums where I used mediums and darks where I used darks and so on or you will end up with a completely differant quilt block look. If you want to play with color feel free to do so but if you are looking to recreate the one I post then be careful how to place your colors.

thank you cjomomma! I had 4 differant versions of the last one and had a heck of a time making up my mind which one to use. You will probably see the others later on.

It depends on whether you use a 1 1/2" template to make a 6 1/2" unfinished quilt block or a 2 1/2" for a 12 1/2" unfinished quilt block. You can also make them bigger if you choose.

thanks Rebecca. Of course the curves in the first one are an illusion. That is what fascinates me about the wings block.

Rhonda, here are my first three that I've made, I wasn't sure where to put the pictures. I plan on making enough to make a day bed cover. This is such fun!
