janRN - The white center fabric came in a package I got to make Asian Fans and did not like this fabric with the other fabric that was in the pack. So it is quite old more than 5 years I am sure it was just barley 1/2 yard on the salvage it says Faye Liverman Burgos for Marcus Brothers Textiles, Inc. It has purple, green, blue, pink spots with gold metallic sprinklings throughout the design.

JunitaBean- Love your colors I agree with janRN reminds me of spring time

    All the blocks are gorgeous ! ! ! !
The parade of color variations & colorways are an education on its own; makes me want to experiment with hues I usually would not consider.

    GrannyQ - That block is just too sassy ! ! ! !

Finally got to sit down at the lap top and WOW Granny Q your block was the first thing I saw! Then I looked through at everyones blocks and the colors and the fabrics drool, drool. I haven't been in a quilt shop in ages and have been using my stash and hitting thrift stores and garage sales. Sure keeps the creativity challenged. I managed to get my fabric cut and ready to start sewing tonight. Juggling sewing and grand kids is challenging right now so it will probably take me two days to get my block done but I can hardly wait to see it finished. By the way janRN your use of complementary colors in your block really POWS and Anael your batiks are so striking Mirabelle I love the scale of prints you used in your block. Looking forward to seeing the rest of everyones blocks.

Well here is mine I have decided to add the side pieces and this is what I chose as my side something more neutral because of all the colors in the blocks I wanted the blocks to stand out. The middle spike is a yellow fairy frost does not show up well at least on my monitor.

Well it's just beautiful! Has a kinda cactus flower look. I like the grey too. It does make the blocks shine. Mission accomplished.

Oh wow ... I don't look at this thread for a few days and wow ... so many great blocks! QNS - I love the way the 2nd block you did looks so different from the first just by switching values around. Reminds me of a lone star.

Anael, Mirabelle, Frustrated, Juanita, Groovy, CarrieM ... great blocks!
JanRN - those colors speak to me!
JillnJo - Nice job with the center circle, I like it!
Granny - You and I had the same idea to change the colors of the flower around symmetrically with left and right sides matching.
