My news this morning said that 49 of the 50 states have snow---just not Florida. I think they forgot Hawaii! It's in the low 20's here in the Atlanta area with single-digit windchills and icy roads. This is my third day home---schools are closed everywhere in north GA. Some of you may think it's funny to close schools for a little ice and 5" or so of snow....but I heard on the news last night that Atlanta has EIGHT pieces of equipment for spreading salt/sand and scraping down roads, and they use them on the freeways. All of the mayors are begging people to stay home today and off the roads!!!!

    Upstate SC.
Yard is a solid sheet of ice.
3rd day of snow & ice (laying on ground).
Suppose to be about 14 degrees tonight.

We have 15" of snow with blizzard conditions. I got the driveway cleaned off with our snowblower and the plow came through dumping 3 ft of snow at the end of our driveway. I got that down and then another plow came through with another 3 ft. You look at our driveway and you would never know I did anything. My husband travels so I have to snowblow. He says if he wasn't home when it snows then it didn't happen. GRRR!

Hawaii currently has snow atop Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the Big Island. I'm in Hawaii Kai on Oahu and we're currently under flash flood watch probably through the rest of the week.
