Several days have passed since the devastating earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. I am worried about the well-being of Quilting Board members there.

While I'm sure communication lines are under stress, PLEASE let us hear from you when you can!

We have friends who's youngest son is a Uni there-he was driving in town when it struck-he is ok but the e-mail I got from them was pretty terrifying. No food-no plumbing-he had to try to get out of town about 50 miles away to find a store to buy food. He and some mates got shovels and have been aiding the rescue-digging out peoples homes and doing what ever they can. He says the rescuers are so overwhelmed. He is so lucky he was in his car driving-his apartment was destroyed.

Our hearts go out to those affected by this....it is absolutely awful...such devastation. We have been following the news and send love, light and peace to our Kiwi mates.

Our hearts do indeed go out to our friends in Christchurch after this second, much more severe earthquake. This will, sadly, be a long recovery.

Mamahappychicky and Kiwiquilter, both from NZ have been posting on the link above.
I have also heard from Gal who lives outside Christchurch and she and her family are all Ok.
