Default Date night with DGD

My DGD and I both have birthdays in April so we decided to splurg on an imax movie. We saw John Carter last night in imax 3D. My first 3D or imax movie. Haven't been to a movie in years! Beside the sticker shock at how much a movie costs these days - to say nothing of the price of popcorn and pop (didn't splurg on that) we had a great time.
Next movie (at home in our pjs with free pop and popcorn) will be Mirror, Mirror. Has anyone else been to a good movie lately?

Yes, "War Horse" was great. Just know that the part where the horse charges through barbed wire...the wire is in actuality made of plastic. I KNEW it had to be safe for the horse, but when seeing it...I just sobbed and sobbed. What's my deal? No one else in the theatre reacted that way. But it was worth the money to see. We don't buy treats...but found out there's a "Ladie's Day" at the theatre and ladies get a free small drink and small popcorn! YAY!

Last Easter I watched Hop with the little ones. It was really cute and I'd recommend it for the Grandchildren.

Amazon Prime instant videos is $79.00 per year. You can watch as many as you want on your computer. I love it.

I go when they show an opera. They are Live HD from the Met. I introduced a friend and now she's hooked too!

We got Warhorse from Netflix but would not play on our DVD player...they have another one on the way. Have no idea why it would not play on our player...would play on my laptop, but we wanted to sit and watch it together.

I think the last movie we went and saw was Seabiscuit...and I just bawled over nothing in particular...cannot remember what part. Embarrassing...but then I got the book and just bawled while reading it, too...I think it was along the same part. When the movie was over plus after I read the book, I so felt like I had missed out on not knowing Seabiscuit.
